    Measure the rooms

    Length, width and ceiling. You see every number and how it came about, so you can stand behind the price.

    A PDF with your name on it and a link, shared from your own phone by text, WhatsApp or email.

After the signature

The job keeps moving

  • Change orders. Extra work or a credit, signed the same way and added to the job total.
  • Invoices. Note what was paid and hand over an invoice PDF with the balance due.
  • Shopping list. What to buy for the job, in whole cans, boxes and bags.
  • Optional extras. Offer add-ons the customer can tick when they sign.
  • Photos. Add pictures of the room; they go on the estimate.
  • Reminders. If the estimate is not opened in 3 days, the app tells you and writes the follow-up.

What is Tapebid?

An estimating app for painting, flooring and tile contractors. You measure the rooms, Tapebid works out the quantities and prices them with your own rates, and your customer gets a Good, Better, Best estimate to sign.

Does my customer need to install anything?

No. They open a link from a text, WhatsApp or email, pick an option and sign in the browser with a finger. They can also sign on your phone, on site.

How much does Tapebid cost?

Your first 3 estimates are free, with no card needed. After that it is $14.99 a month or $119.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial. Tapebid never takes a cut of your jobs.

Which trades does it price?

Interior and exterior painting, flooring (laminate, vinyl plank, hardwood) and tile. Anything else goes on the estimate as an item of your own, with your price.

Can I use my own prices?

Yes. Each trade has your price list: labor, materials and markup. Painting can be priced by the square foot or by the hour, in feet or metres, in any currency.

Does it work without a signal?

Yes. Measuring, pricing and signing on your phone work with no connection, and everything catches up when you are back online. Sending the link needs a connection.

Is it on iPhone and Android?

Tapebid is on Google Play for Android. The iPhone app is coming soon.
